Email Marketing Specialist

Position Summary

The Email Marketing Specialist role will support the CRM marketing automation team in development, setup, segmentation, execution and reporting of marketing campaigns. This includes managing data and processes that will require previous knowledge of marketing automation platforms. Qualified candidates will be up-and-coming effective marketers and self-starters who can advocate for data-driven decisions and strategies.

Primary Focus

The Email Marketing Specialist will play an active role in overseeing all aspects of email marketing campaigns, including content creation, tracking, testing + QA, automation program creation and go-live. To be successful, the Email Marketing Specialist needs to be a detail-oriented, strategic-thinking problem solver that finds inspiration in staying up-to-date on email marketing industry trends.


  • Manage email and automated campaigns from list and/or database development, routing, review, deployment and performance reporting.
  • Serve as the agency resource for marketing automation questions.
  • Collaborate with other agency departments to launch email and digital campaigns.
  • Assist with CRM strategy and planning efforts for agency clients and potentially new business initiatives.
  • Help cultivate data-driven conversations with cross-functional agency teams, specifically account service, media, social, creative and production innovation.
  • Provide recommendations, strategies and tactics for campaign executions.
  • Inspire internal teams to produce work with CRM and direct response best practices in mind
  • Partner with teams to develop and report performance with actionable insights using dashboards, excel, presentations, etc.
  • Manage multiple B2B and B2C audience group experiences with marketing automation tools.
  • Ability to travel if needed.


  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • BS/BA in marketing, computer science, statistics or a similar quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience in executing email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in Marketo or HubSpot required – other experience in marketing automation platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Eloqua and certifications in these platforms is a plus.
  • Previous knowledge with campaign performance and insights reporting – Google Analytics/GA4 experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical competency.
  • Forward-thinking with ability to highlight future opportunities for program expansion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, multitasking, time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office products, with a heavy emphasis on Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
